Moving Up to MOSS 2007

Client Profile:
The Client is a leading provider of integrated business administrative solutions that help companies of all sizes efficiently manage their internal processes, allowing them to focus on core competencies.

Challenge:
The Client's existing Intranet was built on SharePoint 2003, however through the original implementation, had encountered a number of limitations and barriers to providing the navigations, searchability and access to information that employees required.

The Client had determined that the SharePoint taxonomy (structure and hierarchy of the site) was not optimized to help employees easily navigate and find information with the portal environment.

Solution:
The Client engaged Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Team Technologies Inc. to lead a project that included a requirements analysis of the new Intranet environment, determining what features of MOSS to deploy, how to build the information architecture and provide a number of enhancements.

Once the requirements and planning was completed, Team Technologies guided the client through a successful SharePoint 2003 to 2007 upgrade using a gradual migration approach.

The new Intranet is more user friendly, intuitive and provides a foundation for the client to scale its collaborative portal environment with new features and functionality that were not previously available in SharePoint 2003.
